Ronnie James Dio Diagnosed with Stomach Cancer



Wife and manager, Wendy Dio, issued a statement that the legendary Black Sabbath and Rainbow frontman has been diagnosed with early stages of stomach cancer.

Here's the full statement:

Ronnie has been diagnosed with the early stages of stomach cancer. We are starting treatment immediately at the Mayo Clinic. After he kills this dragon, Ronnie will be back on stage, where he belongs, doing what he loves best, performing for his fans.


Thanks to all the friends and fans around the world that have sent well wishes. This has really helped to keep his spirit up.

Dio was forced to cancel his European tour last week when he became hospitalized.

Dio rose to fame as the lead singer of Rainbow in 1975. But he is best known for replacing Ozzy Osbourne as the frontman for Black Sabbath. In the 1980's he was also well known for his work in his own band, Dio.

KHIGH - Local LA Band


Here is the latest gem I have found while searching for new bands to feature... KHIGH. These guys are pretty awesome! They are a metal band from Los Angeles who released their second album (Copylefted Rightovers) in 2008. Their first album (Wise Hedonist) was released in 2005. Their music contains heavy riffs, speedy solos and great vocals. You will like this band, give them a listen below...

New Band - Sinister Mob


Sinister Mob is an up and coming band from Los Angeles, California. They play old school heavy metal with a thrash kick to it. They are three veteran musicians that make up this out of control metal band. Click on the link below to listen to their music.
